Kayaking, paddleboarding and sailing on Lake Tahoe presents a certain element of risk. Cold water, wind, and waves are variables which must be considered when heading out on the lake. Our lessons are designed to help you to minimize those risks by learning some of the necessary skills.

Kayak Self Rescue and Assisted Rescue Lesson

Learn how to exit and re-enter your closed deck kayak with safety gear. Also learn assisted rescue with single and or double kayaks. Combine a scenic tour to develop paddling skills with self rescue. Includes kayak, gear, snacks and drinks.

Stand Up Paddleboard Lesson

Take a scenic paddle and learn the basics with a skilled instructor. Very easy to learn and you will feel like an expert paddler after this lesson. Includes board and gear.

2 hours / $80

Sailing Lesson

Lesson includes use of a Tandem Hobie tri hull sailing kayak. Learn to pedal paddle and sail with this amazing boat. Learn basic sailing on Lake Tahoe. Very informative but mostly its a lot of fun

Primitive Survival Skills Class

Would you like to feel more confident, comfortable, safe and secure when participating in outdoor activities? Would you like to feel that Nature is your provider and not your adversary? Do you love learning new skills? If you answered yes to any or all of these questions, then you should come and take a kayak/primitive skills tour with us at beautiful North Lake Tahoe.

We will kayak to a beautiful location, where you will learn to make fire using nothing more than what Nature provides. Have you ever asked yourself what you would do if your clothing, matches and lighter got wet and you were miles (and hours) from civilization? Hours away from dry clothing, shelter and warmth? Keep in mind, most cases of hypothermia occur at temperatures above 50 degrees. It’s moisture and wind that rob your body of heat. With the knowledge and skills you
will gain through this kayak tour / primitive skills class, you can be sure you won’t have to worry about unforeseen calamities ruining your trip or putting your life in danger.

This is an outdoor adventure that is as much fun as it is educational. It is great for everyone from children to senior citizens. You will get to enjoy Lake Tahoe in an eco-friendly, low impact manner, while filling your lungs with the clean air of the high Sierra and feeding your soul with some of the most stunning scenery in the world.
